Complete garbage。 Not a single bit of unique, or innovative language。 In fact it seems someone just googled inspirational quotes for break ups and copy pasted them into a book。 Literally read it in about 10 minutes。 Seems like a 14 year old writing to herself about a break up with her online boyfriend called kayden who she never met。 I think if you are struggling through a break up please stay far away from this woe is me dribble。

beautiful What can I say? Almost every single poem felt like it was meant for me and meant to guide me through what I’m going through。 A lot of them felt exactly like what I’m going through。

Lucy

Felt more like inspirational quotes than poetry and didn’t really feel original

KT

Feel like it would have slapped harder if I had a recent breakup

If you like cute instagram-quotes this might be for you。 It just wasn't for me。 If you like cute instagram-quotes this might be for you。 It just wasn't for me。 。。。more

“you are worth the wait”I felt empowered by the words in this collection! They were simple and blunt, but beautiful nonetheless。 I love literature that empowers women without tearing them down! Lovely!

Loved it,there were so many good things that were said(they were also said so beautifully),it kind of felt like they were actually talking to me and telling me about my life。This book had a lot of good quotes that i loved and really needed to hear。Definetly worth it!!

I've read some really mixed reviews on this book but I really enjoyed it。 Great to read poetry again。 I've read some really mixed reviews on this book but I really enjoyed it。 Great to read poetry again。 。。。more

It’s ironic how this “poetry” book doesn’t contain any poetry AT ALL!

sweetVery sweet collection of poetry。 Easy to read and relate to。 I enjoyed it :) would recommend for light reading or a daily read, one poem a day! It’s beautiful 😊 xo, Rach

The book itself is a cute little poetry book。 A lot of the pages are only filled with one small poem/quote。 The perspective is feminine and the poems usually are about heartbreak from the female perspective。 Sadly most of the poems are really generell and not that deep, but they are a good starting point for going into some deeper self reflecting thoughts。

great read This was great。 it has great advice in it。 I’ll definitely be reading more from this author。 Her way with words was really soothing。

refreshing。

My friend got me this book and I absolutely loved it!!

Maisie Hudson

a bit generic but relatable, especially the first chapter

This was amazing。 It’s like this author ripped out my feelings, found a solution, and wrote it down in a honest way。 I felt like I was reading what my heart wanted and what my brain was trying to tell me all along。 This book is short and sweet。 I wish it was longer to be quite honest。 I loved it nonetheless。

Christina

Felt like encouraging sticky notes。 Very generic unfortunately。

This was just your average feminine post break up poetry collection。。。nothing special, but some stanzas were beautifully written and unique。

Debbie

Incredibly beautifulI thought this collection of poetry was so beautiful。 It was such an inspirational quick read。 So many of the poems spoke to me。

Anna Patricia

Cliché 1。0 ⭐️Splitting a sentence to form a stanza is not poetry。

Broganne

Hit and miss…Some of the poems are beautiful and thought-provoking whilst some others I felt as though I’d read before。 I continued reading for the beautiful poems but the inclusion of the more generic and bland ones took down the readability of this collection as a whole

This is more so a book of encouragement than poetry but it is also honest。 There are a few pages that do stand out from the rest。 I recommend this if you're looking to be uplifted after a breakup and prefer a ten minute read。 This is more so a book of encouragement than poetry but it is also honest。 There are a few pages that do stand out from the rest。 I recommend this if you're looking to be uplifted after a breakup and prefer a ten minute read。 。。。more

This was more a book of cute encouraging statements than poems, which isn't a bad thing, it just wasn't what I expected。 It's nothing spectacular or mind blowing, but it was cuteIt's mixed with little snippets to the person who broke the author's heart though and I felt like I was getting whiplash going back and forth between "you are worthy of healing" and "when you meant everything to me, I meant nothing to you" because of the vagueness of the "you。" I never knew at the start if "you" was the This was more a book of cute encouraging statements than poems, which isn't a bad thing, it just wasn't what I expected。 It's nothing spectacular or mind blowing, but it was cuteIt's mixed with little snippets to the person who broke the author's heart though and I felt like I was getting whiplash going back and forth between "you are worthy of healing" and "when you meant everything to me, I meant nothing to you" because of the vagueness of the "you。" I never knew at the start if "you" was the person who did the breaking or if it was me, and it was confusing to have to adjust/figure it out every timeAll in all, a sweet little book though ❤️ 。。。more

3stars 12% ratingThe biggest flaw of this poetry book, is the fact that it’s extremely surface level。I’ll give you a visualI want you to imagine it’s raining。 You can hear the rain aggressively falling onto the roof。 You can hear the thunder。 You see the lighting and rain out the window。 Yet, your co worker looks to you and claims “its raining。”And you’re left with only your sarcastic reply, “you don't say。”That's what this poetry gives me。 It’s words are blatant obvious。 “There is nothing quite 3stars 12% ratingThe biggest flaw of this poetry book, is the fact that it’s extremely surface level。I’ll give you a visualI want you to imagine it’s raining。 You can hear the rain aggressively falling onto the roof。 You can hear the thunder。 You see the lighting and rain out the window。 Yet, your co worker looks to you and claims “its raining。”And you’re left with only your sarcastic reply, “you don't say。”That's what this poetry gives me。 It’s words are blatant obvious。 “There is nothing quite difficult as having to start all over again。”Wow, who would have thought? You read that and they just tell you the message。 You don't even have to think, they just say it outright every single time。 So all you’re left to think is: “you don't say。”There’s zero interpretation in any of the poems because it’s outright told to you。 Even when I thought I was about to get imagery or just some showing instead of telling, the poems jumps right back to telling exacly what you need to get from that poem。 It reads a lot more like inspirational quotes or just quotes underlined from a book。 It is basically a nice pep talk and that's why I can't rate it any lower。 But I can't rate it any higher because this dosn't read like poetry。 One whole page is just “crying is never weakness。” and my critic is this easily could have been visualised with imagery and not telling and yet it just wasted an entire page to just tell。I will say, the poem that finally lets you evolve your own interpretation with imgaery is:“She was a hurricane Whirling through The landscape Taking no prisonersTaking all the power For herself。”So the writer proved they could develop their craft to more than just telling, but they didnt。 Because right after that page you read “deciding to move on is the hardest part。” and it just frustrates me more。 Because they just showed a great example of what they could do and then they went right back to something i’ve read and heard a thousand times (even in the exact wording)。Lastly, as I got to chapter 3-4 the realisation that everything was getting a bit repetitive started to dawn on me。 It was the same ‘im heartbroken’ and ‘inspirational telling’ again and again。 And the inspirational quotes weren't really original, they’re everywhere。What a shame, I really liked the cover。 But I would skip this one。 。。。more
